One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives and Australian luxury accessories brand State of Escape have announced an exclusive new capsule collection inspired by the serenity and beauty of the pristine white sand and vivid turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. This is the second instalment of the collaboration between One&Only and State of Escape, following the success of ‘The Wolgan Collection’ inspired by Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley in the Greater Blue Mountains in Australia, in 2017. Designed by State of Escape founders Brigitte MacGowan and Desley Maidment, ‘The Reethi Rah Collection’ consists of three colourways of the iconic Escape carryall that evoke the transition from land to sea, dawn to dusk. All three pieces are distinct in their design and purposeful in their creation, combining State of Escape’s signature neoprene fabrications with its custom-made sailing rope to produce the perfect travel companion. Remarkably versatile, each of the bags in the range also represent the ultimate day-to-day accessory, combining beauty and functionality in what State of Escape’s designers describe as ‘beautility’. “The Reethi Rah Collection celebrates the unmistakable colours that you experience following a stay at One&Only Reethi Rah – the magical soft blush hues during dusk, the creamy sand tones of the beach and the unforgettable blue tones of the Indian Ocean,” designer and State of Escape co-founder Brigitte MacGowan was quoted in a statement, as saying. “We’ve loved telling the story of this breathtaking beach resort through our chosen colour palettes and hope that it too evokes the feelings of serenity and mindfulness experienced at One&Only Reethi Rah.” Attention to detail during the design process and commitment to quality workmanship ensures that the bags are not only lightweight and washable, but are also effortlessly stylish.
