In March, Fushifaru Maldives resort celebrated International Women's Day on its beautiful island. The events began with sunrise yoga on the sandbank, followed by complimentary cocktails and a sunset cake cutting ceremony. As the day turned into night, the guests continued celebrating at the Women’s Day DJ Night, celebrating the fun and unity of women worldwide. It was a day filled with empowerment, joy, and unforgettable moments.
Local Culture
This month, we’d like to feature a specific cultural experience at Fushifaru – the Sangu Shell. As you arrive at Fushifaru, you're greeted with a cherished Maldivian tradition – the Sangu Shell welcome.
Marine conservation
Throughout March, guests were delighted with the much-awaited hatching of green sea turtle nests. As the soft sands of our shores became nurseries for these precious creatures, our dedicated marine biologist and Dive Centre team worked tirelessly to ensure their safe journey into the ocean.
With careful monitoring and protection measures in place, we witnessed the magical spectacle of tiny hatchlings emerging from their nests, guided by the gentle glow of the moonlit horizon. With precaution and care, each hatchling was guided towards the shimmering waters, where they embarked on their incredible voyage of life.
