The Amazing All-Women Sales and Marketing Team of Finolhu Baa Atoll
Best Maldives Luxury Getaways
03 March, 2022
Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives reveals the navigators of its flourishing business all across the globe, an all-women sales and marketing team.
They all hail from different countries with unique cultural backgrounds, but this diversity results in a beautiful convergence with one goal - to spread the word about Finolhu’s major transformation and to bring the right guests to the resort. As a team, they work with passion coupled with dedication and strive hard to be successful in all their initiatives.
The team is headed by Edyta Peszko, Director of Sales and Marketing since July 2019. Originally from Poland, she has extensive experience in the international hospitality and travel sectors in Asia, 15 years in Bangkok, Thailand and last 6 years spent in the Maldives. Her passion and strength in driving sales, generating business leads, developing and managing client relationships has been recognized by Corporate Maldives, landing her a spot in the Top 20 Most Influential Sales & Marketing in the Maldives.
Martine Lafleur, Assistant Director of Sales is a strong and highly opinionated woman who comes from Mauritius. With 12 solid years of Maldivian experience, she has been with Finolhu since 2016, even way before Seaside Collection bought the property from The Small Maldives Islands Company (TSMIC) in 2019. She looks after Asia, Middle East and GCC countries, Russia and CIS countries.
Carolina del Toro, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager – Europe hails from Spain. She has been with Seaside Collection for 15 years, a testament to her dedication and loyalty to the company. Her enthusiasm in her craft took her to an intensive interview with a Spanish radio station last month. During the interview, she explained that resorts in the Maldives have totally different idiosyncrasies.
Ronalaine Fernandez Sato, Assistant Manager - PR and Communications comes from the Philippines. She has 12 years of accumulated experience in the hospitality, travel and tourism trades, both in the Maldives and her home country. She joined Finolhu in 2019 as a Sales Executive, and got promoted as Sales and Marketing Executive upon regularization. Her creativity, keen attention to details, versatility, flexibility, “can do attitude” and ability to work under pressure were her weapons to play a key role during the major transformation. Her hard work paid off as she recently got promoted to her current designation.
The newest addition to the team, Samantha Trinidad, Sales and Marketing Coordinator is also from the Philippines. She has been in the Maldives for almost 5 years. She started as an intern in Finance department, and was offered a permanent position as Accounts Assistant, thereafter. She possesses relentless determination to build a career in Sales and Marketing, and decided to join the so-called “dream team” at Finolhu.
As International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8, these empowered, independent women would like to inspire other women to break new grounds, dare to take risks and face hurdles with poise and grace.

Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives
Best Experience: Couples, Family, Beaches, Activities, Nightlife
Located in the UNESCO world biosphere of Baa Atoll, Finolhu came about as a reaction to the more familiar Maldives island. One of the newest resorts in the Maldives, Finolhu was born out of a desire to bring a fresh wave to the uninhabited island experience. Forget the images of the quiet Maldives paradise: here, fiery dancers, acrobats, world-famous DJs and top-class barmen keep the guests on tiptoe (starting from their bed). The retro atmosphere is the resort's main inspiring force that puts a fun stay at the heart of everything it offers. This cool island playground shakes things up with a fun and fresh spin on Maldivian luxury. The island boasts the longest (1.8 km) sandbank of all the famous Maldivian resort islands - expect to spend a lot of time explorering it. A long beach should not disappoint you either; beach club with retro cinema and old-school arcade; spa with fitness centre and beach gym; tennis courts; watersports; four restaurants; old-school tuck shop. In rooms: TV, iPod dock, DVD player, desk, air-conditioning, minibar, black-out curtain, Neal's Yard Remedies bath products. Read Full Review...
