The Maldives’ Newest Beach Festival Debuts in Maafushi with Live Music, Games, Bonfire & Beats by the Beach

The Maldives is set to welcome a fresh wave of entertainment with the launch of AuraFest, a vibrant beach festival experience taking place on April 17th at Bikini Beach, Maafushi Island. Designed for music lovers and island explorers alike, AuraFest blends live music, beach games, and sunset vibes into an unforgettable night under the stars.
AuraFest’s debut features a stellar lineup of artists including local favorites Project Groove and The Kabans, setting the stage for a night of soulful live performances. The DJ segment will keep the energy high with sets by DJ Shamin, DJ Imbo, and DYD featuring Jym Niyaz, the powerhouse drummer from Raveo.
Headlining the night is none other than DJ Iman Cader from Sri Lanka – a trailblazer in the South Asian electronic music scene, known for her electrifying performances at international venues and festivals, and a rising icon breaking barriers as one of the few female DJs dominating the regional circuit.
Beyond the music, AuraFest offers a playful lineup of free beach games such as tug of war, dodgeball, limbo, beanbag toss, and water balloon battles. Participants stand a chance to win exciting prizes including island excursions, dinners, gift vouchers, hotel stays, and more.
As the sun dips below the horizon, a bonfire gathering will light up the beach, creating a perfect moment for connection and celebration. Throughout the festival, a beverage stand will be available to keep guests refreshed.
AuraFest is endorsed by the Maafushi Council, the local authority company, and proudly endorsed by Visit Maldives, the official tourism promotion board. With a vision to redefine nightlife and experiential tourism in the islands, AuraFest will be hosted monthly in Maafushi – offering travelers a fresh, immersive take on the island experience.
