Bollywood's Bipasha Basu marks her birthday with family
This January, the island had the honour of hosting Bollywood superstar Bipasha Basu, her husband Karan, and their adorable daughter. Their visit was filled with heartfelt moments, including a tree-planting activity and birthday celebrations for Bipasha. The couple expressed their admiration for Fushifaru’s hospitality, and we were thrilled to be part of their special celebrations.

On 15th January 2025, Fushifaru Maldives delighted dessert aficionados with “Sweet Escape,” an exclusive dessert-tasting experience curated by renowned Italian celebrity chef Damiano Carrara. The event was a success, leaving guests enchanted by exquisite flavours and artistic excellence.
Damiano Carrara, celebrated as a leading figure in the culinary world, captivated attendees with his expertise and charm. Known for his role as a judge on Bake Off Italia and co-host of Cake Star, Chef Damiano has built a reputation for his dedication to pastry craftsmanship. In 2024, he further solidified his celebrity status by winning Pechino Express, a popular Italian reality adventure show, alongside his brother Massimiliano.
During the tasting, guests savoured five handcrafted petit four desserts, each a masterpiece of Chef Damiano’s renowned artistry and innovation. Each creation told a story of elegance and finesse, offering a unique exploration of flavour and texture.
Additonally, Chef Damiano also relaxed and enjoyed the island with his family, quoting that his stay at Fushifaru “was really amazing, we had so much fun”.
The success of “Sweet Escape” has further established Fushifaru Maldives as a premier destination for extraordinary dining experiences, leaving guests with unforgettable memories during their stay on this exquisite island.
