Foodies dream come true at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi
Best All Inclusive Resorts in Maldives
05 November, 2021
Turn your Maldives holiday into a unique gastronomic journey around the world within acres of tropical paradise at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. Fourteen dine around options offering a multitude of global cuisines makes food at the island an experience to seek and one to dream about long after your departure.
The best start to any day is a bountiful breakfast and the spread at Iru Restaurant is truly a delight. Start with some organic fruits, then savour countless varieties of English breakfast delights, plenty of warm pastries fresh from the bakery and Asian comfort food. They also host weekly Mexican, Mediterranean and Spanish dinner buffets.
As for lunches complete with the Indian Ocean, award-winning Italian restaurant The Trio creates a wonderful Baked Local Aubergine Salad for starters. While the restaurant serves tremendous pizzas, they also make a fabulous lobster spaghetti. As for desserts, the Chocolate Fondant served with berries compote and Vanilla ice cream is a real treat that simply melts in your mouth.
The beach front Islander’s Grill makes a delicious Tuna Carpacio to begin with. Meanwhile, its specialty is freshly caught seafood such as the Maldivian Red Crab cooked in the style of your choice. Their desserts include a lovely Brown Sugar Pavlova as well as the Maldivian favourite Kiru Boakiba, a coconut custard served with a twist.
Evenings by the pool become more special with Reflections, an infinity pool mirroring spectacular sunsets. This pool bar for adults also has a happy hour special discount and a menu of gourmet light bites led by some chill-out tunes.
However, if you would like some pool time with the kids, the family snack bar, Fluid has a big pool with a cable slide for kids with fresh fruit smoothies, snack and shareable plates to quickly refresh.
Kids also love indulging in some sweetness with a variety of homemade ice cream from La Cremeria, perhaps their preferred remedy for hot days. Children under 14 years can also enjoy free meals from the Kids menu available at all a la carte restaurants.
For Dinner, take a whiff of the aromas tantalising your appetite from Taste of India, with freshly baked Naans and spiced curries. They also make a rich Ghobi 65, a fragrant Chicken Biryani and traditional Gulab Jamun served warm.
For an Asian fix under the palms, Bamboo makes a great Papaya Salad as well as global favourites such as the Laksa and Hainan Chicken rice. They also make a mean Mango Sticky Rice, a cherished favourite for many visitors.
Last but certainly not the least, the award-winning Flavours, French fine dining restaurant, makes a fine Gnocchi à la Parisienne and a remarkable Cheese Plate of the Day. Guests can also enjoy rare vintage wines courtesy of The Cellar just a few steps away. The Bubble Lounge just next door holds the finest selection of champagne and sparkling wines including limited edition vintages.
If you would like to end the night with some drinks after dinner, wander over to Water’s Edge, also the island’s beachfront hub for live entertainment.
For exquisite dining experiences, Teppanyaki is a Japanese iron griddle eatery where each dish cooked in front of you, is served with some sake. The resort also allows you to dine at your secret spot on the island with the indulgent Destination Dining experience.
While the resort has countless dining options and outlets, they also have themed beach BBQs, cocktail nights and many more with their food and beverage special events every week.
Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is definitely the place where all your gastronomy dreams come true.

The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Luxury Resort Maldives
The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, the flagship property in The Sun Siyam Resorts’ collection, is located in the northern Noonu Atoll, and is accessible by a 40-minute seaplane flight from the Maldives main Malé Airport. This 221-room resort offers what is arguably the best local resort in the country, including 2 swimming pools, diving center PADI , and the awarded largest spa in the country. The hotel also offers rates that are among the most competitive in the Maldives for this level of 5-star luxury, but it is important to note that the prices of food and beverages rose very quickly. Most of the clean and modern beach villas stand along the white sands and are separated by tropical vegetation; meanwhile, water villas (for guests from 12 years old) have separate terraces with direct access to the turquoise sea. On the 21-hectare island you can enjoy water sports and there are interesting excursions for all ages, as well as divу school, and for couples there is a detached swimming pool “for adults only” and a romantic dinner at candlelit fine restaurants. Families should note that this is one of the few luxury resorts in the Maldives that has a kids club and babysitting services. Read Full Review
