Joy Island Maldives, part of The Cocoon Collection, has taken its guest experience to the next level with the launch of Joy Arcade—the resort’s first dedicated gaming room. This new indoor entertainment space adds a thrilling dimension to the resort’s already impressive lineup of activities, offering guests a high-tech escape beyond the sun, sand, and sea.

What’s Inside Joy Arcade?

The Joy Arcade features four cutting-edge gaming stations built around simulation and virtual reality technology:

Each station is designed to deliver immersive, heart-pumping action that appeals to both casual gamers and VR enthusiasts alike. Headsets, controllers, and safety equipment are provided and sanitised between uses.

Operating Hours & Pass Options

The Joy Arcade operates daily across three sessions:

• 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

• 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Walk-in guests are welcome—no advance booking required. Passes are available directly from the arcade desk during operating hours. Options include:

• 1-hour, 2-hour, 3-hour, and 4-hour Play Passes

• Unlimited Day Pass for all-day access

All passes provide access to all four gaming stations, with pricing available at the arcade desk. Guests are advised to check for any rates linked to resort or stay packages.

Fun for All Ages

The Joy Arcade is open to guests of all ages, though younger players may require a parent or guardian when using motion-based equipment. The space can also be booked for birthday parties and private events, complete with party host assistance and refreshments for groups.

The addition of Joy Arcade expands the resort’s already extensive recreational offerings. Joy Island Maldives is located in North Malé Atoll, approximately 40 kilometres from Velana International Airport—about 40 minutes by speedboat.

The resort features 151 villas, including 91 beach villas and 60 overwater villas, with options featuring private plunge pools. Interiors are designed by Italian design company LAGO.
