This year, Komandoo Maldives has been awarded Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award for 2024 – placing a boutique resort amongst the top 10% of hospitality businesses worldwide.

May was not just about reviews and awards, it was also about turtles as Komandoo celebrated World Turtle Day. As the resort logo suggests, every day is a turtle day here at Komandoo as not only is Lhaviyani Atoll home to the largest green turtle community in the Maldives, but the island also have around 30 resident hawksbill turtles on our very own house reef, making a bucket list tick of ‘swimming with turtles’ very easy to tick off if you stay with us.

"The welcome and organization were excellent. The over water yacuzzi villa was fantastic with a breathtaking view that took your breath away every morning when you woke up. The welcome at the restaurants was always friendly and super professional and in general we cannot complain about anything negative because it was a truly excellent all-round experience. A special mention goes to a member of the Champion staff, Yamen, who stood out at the fhalu restaurant for his professionalism, calmness and attention to detail. Overall an excellent experience."
