What's Hot, What's New, What's Fun in Kuredu this month

Sunny greetings from Kuredu! Still, in revelling in the Maldives’ high season, the weather here has been predictably incredible: lots of sun, calm ocean, and high temperatures – perfect for enjoying the best of the Maldives. The beauty of our destination is evident as soon as your international flight descends, the atolls lying in the Indian Ocean look every bit as enticing as expected, and it just keeps getting better. Both on land and in the ocean, pristine displays of nature will make you pinch yourself just to check if they are real.

Seeing a destination as beautiful as the Maldives cannot fail to make you want to preserve it, and to that end, on 25th March, we celebrated Earth Hour and switched off the power to shine a light on the plight of our planet. Along with millions of others worldwide, we helped create a wave of darkness across the globe, and in doing so, we reminded ourselves of the small steps we can all take to protect the beautiful planet we call home. We hope those who joined our Dinner in the Dark event enjoyed a dining experience to remember with only taste and flavour as allies.

March also saw the start of Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar, and many of our team members have been fasting between sunrise and sunset since 22nd March and will continue to do so until the end of Ramadan, which is expected to be 20th April. Our guests won’t notice any difference during this holy month, the holidays go on regardless, with full service in operation at resorts. 22nd March also saw us welcoming Laurie and Terri Miller for their 51st visit!

Kuredu is getting ready for a visit from the Easter Bunny, who we hope will hop over to our resort during the upcoming Easter weekend. Lots of fun activities have been planned for all to enjoy; kids and adults alike can join the celebrations culminating with the traditional Easter Egg Hunt, where spectacular prizes can be won, the Grand Chocolate Buffet at the Main Pool on Easter Sunday with the night continuing from 20.30 until 22.00 with our Easter Retro Party. We hope all who join us have an ‘eggciting’ time!

Celebrations continue at the end of the month with the Kuredu Bazaar on 28th April, where mind-blowing discounts on room upgrades, spa, retail, excursions, and many other great deals can be enjoyed. Further to this, for the entire months of April and May, we are pleased to extend a USD 20.00 allowance per person per dinner in both Beach Shack and Franco’s restaurants for our full-board and all-inclusive guests – making those extra treats more affordable and your holiday budget go even further.
