June brings many exciting events and activities to Vilamendhoo Island. First, thr resort marked Reef Awareness Day by inviting school children from the neighbouring local island Dhangethi, to an event on reef awareness and the importance of protecting reefs for future generations.
Vilamendhoo's team enjoys and frequently participates in island clean-up activities on land and in the underwater garden - the reef. We marked World Ocean Day with a house-reef cleaning activity and was thrilled to see so many of our guests joining and supporting the effort. On World Environment Day, the team and the guests planted trees to support the national goal of planting 5 million trees.
The team delights in facilitating activities for our beloved guests. The culinary team made signature gin cocktails for World Gin Day with an array of infusions. You will see the bars decorated with multi-national flags in preparation for UEFA European Football Championship and the fun.
There will be a PADI shark speciality course in July to celebrate the World Shark Awareness Day. There are plenty of activities we have planned for you.
