The most thrilling time of year will begin in a few weeks - Manta season is just around the corner, and unforgettable encounters await our snorkellers and divers who stay with us during late autumn, winter, or spring. The mantas are mesmerising, and swimming amongst them is a bucket list experience to attend even if you've never dived or snorkelled before; we can help you change that so you can experience one of the Maldives' most thrilling sights.
Aside from the action underwater, we've planned a festive season that is set to be incredible. If you'd love nothing more than to escape the Christmas chaos at home and set your email auto-reply to 'Spending Christmas in paradise', make 2023/2024 the year to break with tradition and have a festive season that makes your heart sing.
As many of you know, we are undergoing two developments to ensure your Komandoo experience is intact and improved. While having island conservation at heart, we are extending further protection with a seawall from the Pool area to Aqua Restaurant. We are also adding a few upgrades to Ocean Jacuzzi Water Villas, which will surprise the regular guests and enhance their Komandoo experience. With these developments, we intend to welcome you again from the 01st of September 2023.
We hope to see you in Komandoo soon, either as returning residents or first-time guests – the warm welcome will be the same.

Loved by our regular dive guests is Fushifaru - a location of incredible dive sites within a marine-protected area closer to Komandoo. This unique collection of dive sites provides different experiences from starters to pro divers. Those who seek extreme adventure and dare to swim through currents to explore Sharks, Herds of eagle rays in formations, occasional grey reef or silver tip sharks, schools of jackfish or rainbow runners, to many more can be found in sites like Fushivaru Kandu. Places like "Fushivaru Giri", an underwater island, will offer more open dive sites for all experience levels to explore the beauty of the Maldivian underwaters.

"Really what can you say about Komandoo…..from the moment you step off the sea plane everything is special! The champions are the making of the island and the family feel amongst the team is something special. "We had a 5 night stay in the most amazing jacuzzi beach villa. Beautifull interior, charming outdoor bathroom and the most stunning sunrise view. Staff was extremely friendly, and our host miss Harshali was the most customer minded and helpfull person we have ever met. Food was very nice, and we loved the barefoot concept..:) For snorkel beginners Komandoo is perfect, because of the close by house reef, you literally just go out a few meters and then you have stunning underwater views. We will come back for sure."
