The month of May went away while promising us that this whale shark season would be one to embrace with excitement thanks to multiple sightings during every excursion, with value-added Manta Ray sightings. In addition, our Excursion team is on high alert for nearby sightings to ensure you take advantage of a chance of a lifetime to see this gentle giant in its natural habitat.
As a resort known for its excellent house reef that has managed to attract guests out of their rooms into the water even before the sun-up and being one of the most reputed dive resorts, we see the importance of preserving this unique ocean ecosystem for generations to come. Therefore, in parallel to World environment day on the 05th of June 2023, we conducted a beach cleaning of the island and nearby sand bank to remove the plastic collected, with the participation of the Vilamendhoo team and nature savvy you. Also, in contrast to World ocean day, we will show our valued guests our latest documentary, "The Blue Planet II", as another initiative to conserve our excellent marine resources for future generations on the 7th of June.
We will be celebrating Father’s Day, as well, on the 18th of this month; since we want to greet all the parents on the island, our Duniye Spa is preparing something special for this day to indulge everyone in a pleasant and relaxing experience.

This was our first trip to the Maldives...staying at Vilamendhoo exceeded our expectations!! Amazing food, great villas, fantastic service and the house reef was great!! Fantastic holiday
"Extraordinary place, fantastic service, terrific rooms, simply magical snorkeling. Day excursion a must do, as you lose the noisy and intrusive morning trippers, and snorkeling with a whale shark and four manta rays, with only the 8 mergers of our group there was unforgettable. The house reef is amazing, like swimming in an aquarium. It's not a cheap holiday, but simply extraordinarily good value for m money. Cannot recommend highly enough."
