RARE WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS

The waters near Kuredu Island Resort & Spa had a rare visit of Short-Finned Pilot Whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus) in the past fews days, where the pod of eight travelled through the Kuredu Express channel. The Kuredu Express and the Kuredu caves are two of the most famous dive sites in the Lhaviyani Atoll. When they appear, the whales are visible from shore to guests on Kuredu Island and this incredible recording is from around 9 am on the north side of the island on April 30, 2023.
