During the tour, guests will delve into our comprehensive waste management systems, including the handling of food, plastic, and garden waste. They'll also discover the inner workings of our water production and recycling facility, explore the power production methods utilised by the resort, and explore at our hydroponic garden, all the while engaging with our expert team.

Wellness Retreat: International Yoga Day at Kuramathi Maldives

On June 21st, 2024, Kuramathi embraced the essence of International Yoga Day with a diverse array of activities that catered to guests of all ages and interests, enriching both physical vitality and inner peace.

The day commenced with a variety of yoga disciplines including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Dynamic Yoga sessions at the Yoga Pavilion from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Participants immersed themselves in these practises, connecting breath with movement to invigorate mind and body.

As the day progressed, guests gathered at the Sand Bank for Pranayama & Meditation from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Against the backdrop of natural beauty of Kuramathi Maldives, participants embraced deep breathing exercises and mindfulness practises, finding moments of tranquillity and introspection to conclude the day on a serene note.

International Yoga Day at Kuramathi Maldives was a celebration of holistic well-being, offering participants a harmonious blend of physical rejuvenation and inner reflection amidst our island paradise.

Exploring the Underwater Paradise: Diving Adventures

Diving at Kuramathi offers a unique and accessible underwater experience that caters to divers of all levels. With short distance dive sites accessible within a quick 20-minute boat ride from the island, guests can effortlessly return after each dive, allowing for flexibility in planning their underwater excursions.

Convenience is particularly beneficial for guests seeking a balanced vacation experience, whether they wish to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or spend quality time with family without committing to lengthy excursions. Additionally, the majority of dive sites accommodate divers of varying skill levels, featuring drift dives along shallow wall dives starting at a mere 5 metres. This setup ensures a seamless diving experience, even for beginners, making Kuramathi an ideal destination for those eager to explore the mesmerising underwater world.

Moreover, Kuramathi is located closer to renowned dive sites such as Madivaru, a short 5-minute boat ride away, celebrated for its spectacular "balcony" offering unparallelled views of marine life including sharks, rays, jackfish, and turtles. For an unforgettable encounter with majestic mantas, guests can embark on a short 15-minute boat ride to Manta Block, featuring a local cleaning station during the peak season from November to April. With its shallow depth of 12 meters, Manta Block welcomes divers of all levels, ensuring an enchanting and memorable diving experience amidst the vibrant marine ecosystem of Maldives.

Last year Kuramathi, in collaboration with Rasdhoo Divers expanded scuba diving experience by offering a captivating range of Dive Speciality Courses, tailored for both novices and seasoned divers alike.

Nurturing Environmental Champions: A Journey of Discovery at Bageecha Kids Club

The celebration of World Environment Day and World Ocean Day at Bageecha Kids Club at Kuramathi Maldives concluded with great success, fostering a sense of environmental stewardship and appreciation for marine life among the young participants. The event kicked off on Wednesday, June 5th, with engaging activities such as gardening at the Hydroponic Garden, followed by leisurely beach and pool time where children soaked up the sun while learning about the importance of preserving our planet's ecosystems. The highlight of the day was the hands-on environment craft using recycled items and the interactive recycling sorting activity, which not only sparked creativity but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards sustainable living practices.

Continuing the momentum on Saturday, June 8th, the festivities reached their peak with collaborative poster-making sessions and fish sculpture painting, showcasing the children's artistic talents and passion for ocean conservation. The day culminated in an exhilarating snorkelling adventure, providing an immersive experience into the beauty and diversity of marine habitats. We believe the events fostered a deeper connection to nature and inspired our young guests to protect our environment and oceans for generations to come.

Celebrated on 14th July Shark Awareness Day at Kuramathi was a resounding success, engaging guests in educational activities and immersive experiences to foster appreciation and understanding of sharks and marine conservation.

Meet Tiffanie Ann Pineda Pangan, a dedicated hostess with two years of service at Palm restaurant. Known for her can-do attitude and uplifting team spirit, Tiffanie enhances the working environment effortlessly. Outside of work, she enjoys watching movies and spending quality time with friends.

Also integral to our team is Mohamed Rizwaan, a seasoned waiter with two years of experience at Island Coffee Shop, Tandoor Mahal, and Island Barbeque. Guests appreciate his exceptional service and warm smile, always ready to assist anyone. In his leisure time, Mohamed loves to play Football and Volleyball.
