As the days lengthen in the Northern Hemisphere and people’s thoughts drift towards the long lazy days of summer (or those Down Under feel the cool winter air and start missing the sun), your clients could be looking for an alternative holiday destination where they can escape Europe’s crowds.

Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences has created a special calendar of events for guests curious about exploring the upcoming season, Maldives-style. Manta rays and whale sharks have already been spotted in our atoll, which bodes well for a bumper season at Hanifaru Bay.

Feeling Koi and the Sunset Bar have been decked out with new tables and super comfortable sofas. EBC has also been spruced up with new tables and chairs.

The resort's team has created a new cultural immersion tour where guests can visit neighbouring islands and experience authentic local culture firsthand.

Amilla's new turndown tea service is about to launch, offering guests a chance to end their evenings with a menu of wellness teas, changing daily.

We are converting the old nail bar into a dedicated Cardio Studio which will feature increased airflow to ensure guests keep their cool while they get their blood pumping.

The Sunset Water Pool Villas will have a facelift in May and June, with a lick of paint, interior wood resurfacing and new timber on the wooden jetty.

Amilla Maldives resort is now live on the Small Luxury Hotels of the World website, and, as a standalone Maldivian-owned property, are proud to be part of a select group of independently-minded, mostly family-owned high-end boutique hotels.

Amilla is partnering with Forbes to take our guest-centric service to the next level. Training is underway to up our team’s game even further. .

On top of all this, we’re incredibly proud to be hosting the Maldives’ first retreat that helps women navigate the waters of perimenopause and menopause. This topic has been gaining momentum in the media lately after many years as a taboo subject, and we are thrilled to have a specialist visiting practitioner assisting us with a specially-designed retreat.

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island

Best Experience:  Family, Couples, Groups, Dining, Diving, Spa

Featuring more flexible approach to tropical island luxury, Amilla Fushi offers a luxurious 'island home' for both couples and families in the Maldives. Younger, hipper, with a fresh and contemporary accomodation, the resort has so much to offer, from high design and inventive dining options, to stylish villas and amazing snorkelling and diving. Located in the Baa atoll, UNESCO Biosphere reserve, this might just be the most family friendly resort in the Maldives. Family villas have been designed to ensure that both the parent’s and children’s bedrooms are in the same building. The villas are very spacious, and unlike many two bedroom options you might find elsewhere, the second bedrooms are large and so also work very well for families with older children. The Sultan's Village kids’ club at Amilla Fushi is terrific – all palm tree swings, finger painting and beach games – teens can play billiards and X-Box, and all childcare, including baby-sitting, is complimentary. There is also a children's pool and beach club close by if parents wish to relax in close proximity to the Kids Club. In 2018, Amilla Fushi has been recognised as the leading family resort in Maldives. Read Full Review
