Explora Journeys unveils New Ocean Wellness concept

Explora Journeys has announced that guests onboard Explora I will have an opportunity to slow down and optimize their well-being with “Ocean Wellness” experiences.

“Ocean Wellness” offers arrange of restorative experiences far removed from urban noise and the always-on digital culture. Sleep, relaxation, mindfulness, energy and immunity-boosting are addressed holistically, enhanced by the revitalizing influence of the sea. Over 10,764 square feet of space is dedicated to a spa, indoor and outdoor wellness areas, fitness facilities, outdoor sports court and running track.

Ocean Wellness – The Spa spans over 7,500 square feet and has 11 treatment rooms, including two Private Spa Suites with their own outdoor relaxation area; one double and seven single treatment rooms; an additional treatment room dedicated to specialized “Medi-Luxe Treatments” by Dr. Levy Switzerland; an outdoor lounge; a beauty studio with a hair salon and nail salon; and a sensorial therapeutic circuit with its hydrotherapy pool, steam room, Finnish sauna, salt cave, ice fall and heated marble loungers.

Only sustainable products containing first-class active ingredients with high concentrations of botanical, marine and biological extracts are used in the spa. Explora Journeys’ wellness partners include Dr. Levy, Switzerland; Aromatherapy Associates; and The Tides Wellness.

With 2,443 square feet of indoor space and more than 688 square feet of outdoor fitness facilities, Ocean Wellness – Fitness also offers a Sports Court for half-court basketball, in addition to a panoramic running track and touch tennis. From an initial physical assessment to functional and strength training, cardio and Pilates, it is focused on motivating guests to optimize their health.

Explora Journeys has partnered with Technogym to focus on the individual needs of every guest. The Technogym Artis Line provides a cardio experience, including Run Artis for indoor running and Artis Synchro elliptical. For strength training, there is Technogym Artis equipment for the upper and lower body. Outdoor deck facilities include Technogym’s Skillrow, an all-in-one rower designed to improve anaerobic power, aerobic capacity and neuromuscular abilities. Also on deck are Group Cycle bikes for pedaling with a sea view, besides training apparatus. Guests also have the option of training in their oceanfront suites or their suite terraces, encouraged by a virtual coach.

Guests onboard Explora I will have access to tailor-made consultations and retreat programs ranging from sleep and immune boosting to nutrition. Guests are also introduced to a range of programs designed to de-stress physically and mentally. Choices include energy flow power classes to replenish stamina and strength; sleep yoga to induce deep slumber; relaxation yoga to rekindle a sense of self-worth; mindfulness yoga to anchor body and mind through meditation; and immune-boosting yoga to support health and reduce anxiety via breathing techniques.
