The most cheap water villa resort in the Maldives, Reethi Beach is all-round escape with an unspoilt setting and follows the relaxed Maldivian way of life.

It’s the traditional monsoon season here in the Maldives and although we are experiencing some light showers, we are also delighted to get extended hours of sunlight, just enough for our guests to enjoy some beach time.

Monsoon also means that Hanifaru Bay, the infamous Manta feeding ground located just a 10-minutes speedboat ride from Reethi Beach Resort is now very busy with the return of these gentle giants. It was a particular delight for our guests to have been able to swim with Whale Sharks a few days ago along with the Mantas in Hanifaru Bay. A memory to be recalled for very long and we are confident that these sightings will still continue throughout the season. A tiny bit of luck is required of course but as you can see, these pictures are truly mesmerizing.

Introducing Reethi Family Villas

We are very excited to announce our new Reethi Family Villas which are just perfect for families travelling with children.

With an expansive space of 90sqm, these villas are located on the sunset side of the island comprising of two interconnected bedrooms of which one is equipped with a king size bed and the other one with a twin bed. Each of the attached open-air bathrooms come with a bathtub and the villa can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children or 4 adults, making it even an ideal room for friends travelling together.

Visit of Greenfluencer and Miss Germany Domitila Barros

It was a great privilege to host the wonderful Ms Domitila Barros recently at Reethi Beach Resort. She is the current Miss Germany and works as an advisor, social entrepreneur, model and actress with the mission to make the world fairer and more sustainable. Particularly the sustainability aspect motivated her to visit Reethi Beach Resort. Being located in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve had played a major role for her to visit our island, as she has a very distinguished connection to the UNESCO herself.

Ms Barros also took part in a Maldivian cooking class where our chefs showed her how to prepare and cook some typical traditional Maldivian dishes made out of ingredients from our very own Reethi Garden.

Furthermore, she also participated in our coral planting project in addition to visiting the Hanifaru Bay to swim with the Mantas and to learn about the protection efforts at Hanifaru Bay.

The voting process consists of 25% votes from the TTM editorial team, 25% votes from a selected panel of industry experts and 50% votes from the public. Voting closes on July 31st, 2022 and we count on your support.

Upcoming….Ocean Ramsey is coming back on the Island

Ms Ocean Ramsey - author, marine conservationist, scientist, entrepreneur, model, designer, free diver, scuba instructor and non-profit founder - is visiting Reethi Beach Resort again.

Well known for her remarkable work done to bring attention to the shark conversation through her company One Ocean Diving LLC in Hawaii, she will be conducting sessions with our dive instructors of Ocean Fanatics on best practices during diving in general with a focus on diving with sharks. She will also be holding lectures on shark behavior and offer an introduction to freediving for our guests.

We do have a lot happening in the upcoming months and will keep you all updated with selected exciting news. We look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you to the island in the near future. Warm regards from Reethi Beach,
